CLUB Ministries is excited to offer our popular Adult Retreat at this wonderful time of the year! It is our hope that these three days and two nights will help launch a joyful and Jesus filled holiday season.
All Adults are Welcome!
The retreat is designed for all adults. Single or married, you are invited to come and join us. Some folks come with church groups, others on their own. Commuters who have other accommodations are welcome. Participants are responsible for their own travel.

Beach Cove Resort

The CLUB has secured Beach Cove Resort for the weekend. We have reserved a limited number of the Oceanfront Executive Suites at the resort. The Beach Cove offers outdoor and indoor pools. This North Myrtle Beach resort is only 5 minutes from Barefoot Resort and Golf. A balcony with an ocean view, cable TV, microwave, and Free Wi-Fi are provided in each suite. Beach Cove Resort guests may use the indoor hot tub and fitness center. A business center is also provided, and laundry facilities are available.
The seasonal Breeze’s Beach Grill offers a place for guests to lounge and have lunch or dinner, while the Town Center features oceanfront dining, a game room, gift shop, and grill.
The resort is close to the Alligator Adventure theme park. Barefoot Landing, and an 8-minute drive to the Carolina Opry.
How Much Does it Cost?
The price includes Breakfast Voucher and dinner at local seafood restaurant. The cost includes a ticket to an excellent holiday show, lodging, and additional program expenses. Your cost is $ 279.00 per person, based on two people per room. Rooms with 3 or 4 in a room are 239.00 per person. (Rooms with only one person will be charged $389.00). The commuter option for all activities included is $159.00 per person. Selections must be made by you or your group leader as to who will stay in your room. Lodging selections must be sent with your registration form and a $100 per person (non-refundable) deposit by October 7, 2025.
Cancellation Understanding: Once you are registered and pay the deposit or full amount, CLUB can only refund what it is not charged for by the resort, theater, etc. You are responsible for the full cost, and the deposit is unable to be refunded. Thank you for your understanding.
What to Bring?
Beach Cove Resort furnishes linens, we suggest you bring an extra towel. You will need: Bible, personal toiletries, beachwear, sweater/jacket, and extra cash to purchase Christian books, gifts, snacks, etc. All group meetings are casual dress.

Retreat Leader
Chris Thore launched CLUB Ministries as a young pastor in 1982. Since then, he has led retreats for all ages sharing the hope we have in Christ with others. Chris shares “A Word of Encouragement” video to many each week. Chris is an enthusiastic storyteller with a healthy sense of humor.
Rev. Norman Band
Worship Leader
Worship leader, pastor, hospice chaplain, and song writer, Norman is a joyfully gifted musician and ministers in SC near Spartanburg, where he and Chris Thore have been friends since college days. He has assisted with CLUB Retreats for several years and is well loved!
Dr. Dave Verhaagen
Breakout Session
Dr. Dave Verhaagen is a man of many hats: psychologist, author, speaker, husband, father, and dedicated Christ follower. Dave is the founder of Southeast Psych with locations in Charlotte and Nashville. His arena of expertise is with teenagers and young adults struggling with anxiety, depression, and other mental health challenges. He is a master of illusion and sleight of hand and uses the fun of “magic” for entertainment and laughter with patients, friends and wider audiences in Nashville. Dave is an active member of Journey Church in Brentwood, TN.
